Gold prices have seen a huge spike today (Gold Price Hike). On the MCX, gold shot up by ₹1,123 per 10 grams, while silver (Silver Price Today) also glittered with a sharp rise of over ₹2,000. Just a day earlier, on August 29, Friday, gold had already created a fresh record.

Gold Price Today: How much is gold trading at?

As of 10:35 am on MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange), gold prices touched ₹1,04,975 per 10 grams, marking a jump of ₹1,151 in a single day. Earlier, the yellow metal had closed at ₹1,03,824 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, at the IBJA (Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association), the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at ₹10,239 per gram.

Silver Price Today: Shining even brighter

At 10:38 am, silver prices stood at ₹1,22,631 per kg. During the day, silver touched a high of ₹1,23,000 and a low of ₹1,20,844. By 11 am, silver had gained ₹2,259 per 10 grams compared to its previous close of ₹1,20,371 per kg.

Where is gold the cheapest today?

On September 1, Raipur recorded the lowest gold price at ₹1,05,140 per 10 grams, as well as the cheapest silver at ₹1,23,590 per kg.

On the other hand, Bhopal and Indore reported the highest prices, with gold at ₹1,05,390 per 10 grams and silver at ₹1,23,960 per kg. Experts say the rise is fueled by Trump’s tariff threats, global market uncertainty, and the upcoming festive season demand, which is pushing both gold and silver prices to new highs.
