Ather Energy has lifted the covers on its bold new concept, the Ather Project Redux, a tech-packed electric maxi-scooter that gives a glimpse into the brand’s future lineup. Unveiled alongside the new EL platform and EL01 concept, the Redux focuses heavily on technology, aggressive styling, and futuristic features.
Design: Sporty & Futuristic
The Redux comes with a sharp, pointed front fascia framed by a body-coloured fairing, while the taillight is positioned at a steep angle for a distinctive look.
The seat design is one of the biggest highlights—it is 3D-printed, split into two parallel sections with a noticeable gap in between, flowing into a sharply styled tail section similar to a performance bike. The rear portion sits much higher, giving the scooter a maxi-scooter stance, unlike Ather’s current sporty scooters. The seat also carries ‘ATHER’ engraved in a dense design pattern, adding to its futuristic vibe.
Tech-Loaded Features
Ather is pushing the boundaries on the tech front with the Redux. Key highlights include:
- MorphUI system – lets riders customize the scooter’s UI
- Vertical touchscreen display – a departure from Ather’s current horizontal screens
- Haptic feedback throttle – adds a tactile response for better control
- Adaptive suspension – adjusts automatically based on rider’s stance
- Take-Off Mode – lowers the center of gravity and sharpens steering for a sportier ride
These features indicate that Ather is not only focusing on design but also pioneering new riding experiences in the electric scooter segment.
Ather’s Future Roadmap
The Redux is still a concept model, with most details under wraps. However, its unveiling alongside the EL platform and EL01 concept shows Ather’s ambition to expand into more premium and futuristic EVs in the coming years.
With Project Redux, Ather is clearly positioning itself at the cutting edge of EV design and technology, aiming to set new benchmarks in India’s growing electric mobility space.
