Maruti Victoris SUV Launched in India Price, Variants, Mileage, Features and Safety

The wait is finally over. Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched its all-new SUV, the Maruti Victoris, after showcasing it earlier this year. The company has officially announced the prices, with the base variant starting at Rs 10,49,900 (ex-showroom). Bookings had already begun, and sales will start from September 22.

The Victoris is being marketed as a technology-focused SUV and is the company’s first model to come with Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It also features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with built-in apps, an eight-speaker premium sound system, and several other modern touches.

Maruti Victoris will be offered in 21 variants across different powertrain options. Buyers can choose from a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic with a Smart Hybrid petrol engine, an e-CVT with a strong hybrid setup, an AllGrip Select all-wheel-drive system, and an S-CNG option. Prices range from Rs 10,49,900 for the base Smart Hybrid manual model to Rs 19,98,900 for the top-end strong hybrid variant. The CNG models start at Rs 11,49,900. Customers can also opt for Maruti’s subscription service, with monthly charges starting at Rs 27,707, covering registration, maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance.

The SUV comes in 10 color options, including seven single-tone and three dual-tone finishes. Design-wise, the Victoris follows a new language inspired by the upcoming e-Vitara electric SUV. It sports sleek LED headlamps connected by a chrome strip, thick cladding, and a silver skid plate at the front. Dimensionally, it is larger than the Grand Vitara, with a length of 4,360 mm, width of 1,795 mm, height of 1,655 mm, and wheelbase of 2,600 mm. It also rides on 17-inch alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the Victoris is available with three engine options. The first is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 103 hp, paired with a 5-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic. The second is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder strong hybrid setup with 116 hp, mated to an e-CVT. The third is a 1.5-litre petrol-CNG engine producing 89 hp, offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

In terms of fuel efficiency, the manual variant delivers 21.18 kmpl, while the automatic returns 21.06 kmpl. The all-wheel-drive model offers 19.07 kmpl, and the CNG variant claims 27.02 km per kg.

On the features front, the SUV comes equipped with a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, Dolby Atmos surround sound, a segment-first smart powered tailgate with gesture control, 64-color ambient lighting, and Alexa voice assistant integration.

Safety is another highlight of the Victoris. The SUV has secured a 5-star rating in both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP crash tests. Safety features include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-change alert, blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and front cross-traffic assist.

With its stylish design, powerful engine options, long list of features, and top-notch safety rating, the Maruti Victoris aims to set new benchmarks in the mid-size SUV segment.
